The role of the Governing Board (from the Governance Handbook, 2017) is as follows:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
- Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent
The Governors at Rollesby really look forward to parents coming forward to join our team. They take their role very seriously and expect that all Governors attend meetings as well as training to fully understand their role. They are not involved in things like fund raising, nor do they get involved in the day-to-day running of the school. Their key role is ensuring the best possible education for the children in the school and moving the school forward to be the best it can be.
